Dressed Up for the Albury Fun Run

Yesterday I registered for the Cumberoona Fun Run in Albury. Early this morning on this beautiful Autumn day I realised I had no runners. I left them in Melbourne and ran 6.5km in Adidas dress shoes. My self-motivating thoughts echoed, ‘If they are good enough for a 1920’s athlete they’re good enough for me!’
The course began at 10AM in Noreuil Park, Albury, NSW with a run along the riverside path to Oddy’s Hill and back. See map for detailed route. It was part of the 2008 Albury MultiSport Spectacular during the weekend of the 1st - 2nd of March.
Other events held included the Norske Skog 1km Murray swim and a 4.2 km run aquathon, kayaking, the Full Cycle downhill mountain biking, rollerblading, 90 minute Orienteering, and the 133km Lake Hume road cycling challenge. Check out the Events Program for more details.
