After years of waiting I can finally say I have joined the 1TB club! Ever since I filled my 20GB in 1999 I have patiently waited for the day to have ‘infinite space’. To achieve this I would purchase my very own 1TB drive…
What did I get?

Back on the 10th of April 2008, ‘cat poo coffee’ hit the streets of London. Selling for £50 a cup they are made from a blend of Jamaican Blue Mountain and the rare Kopi Luwak bean.
Cat Coffee - An Explanation

Kopi Luwak beans are eaten and shat out by the Indonesian Civet Cat. Civets live in coffee plantations across South East Asia. They have a taste for ripe quality coffee berries.
The coffee cats digestive system utilises enzymes to break down the flesh of the fruit before the animals expels the bean. Workers collect beans from the plantation floor, wash away the dung and roast them.

After checking my network settings for the eightieth time this month I have concluded that there must be a fault of the Google servers. My Internet connection is through Internode and my browser is Mozilla Firefox (IE would not work either!)
The Domino Effect:
- google.com
- google.com.au
- google.com/adsense
- google.com/analytics
- gmail.com
One down all down. Is this ‘Net Death‘…
Neo Unjacked
Now I sit with my insatiable thirst for knowledge and seemingly no way to obtain it. I question the IT world and all its personnel. My online world inaccessible. No emails. No searching through mountains of text with results in a mere second. No checking analytics to gauge my presence in the blogosphere. My heart has stopped, my mind is num, my fingers feebly rest upon the keyboard.
Let there be others!
I am not alone - other testimonials include PitchMy Dec 07 and Gmail down Jan 08. Historical account - Google Admits to Server Crisis May 06 (Could it happen again?)
Could Google in all it’s US$125+ billion wisdom let technical issues result in it’s downfall? Time will tell but I doubt it.
I am looking for updated info from other netizens to contribute to my disgruntled ramblings. You must comment if you have been Googlestomped this month OR if all is fine in your net world - Do tell !!!
More of a massive technical update than content at the moment. Moved to BlueHost servers and now using the Wordpress.org software. The transition from Free hosting on Wordpress.org has been seamless, no problems so far. All this will technically and financially allow johnnymestizo.com to exist for the long term.

This will free me up to ‘John Chow‘ the site. Monetization to cover the costs of hosting and deliver on some goals for the page. Namely - I will review my favourite books and people can get it delivers (via an amazon app) right then and there. We will see how we go. Of course I will always stay true to ‘Content is King‘.
